Small habits, when repeatedly done, can add up and create big changes in your life. You may not see it right away, but over time you certainly will notice the differences. Here are 10 life-changing habits that you need to incorporate into your daily routine. Drinking water frequently on your daily basis is essential and it can have so many benefits for you.

» Stay Hydrated

Drinking water frequently on your daily basis is essential and it can have so many benefits for you.

It helps to keep your skin and hair healthy and good-looking. It helps to regulate your body temperature as well as preventing infections. It also keeps your organs functioning properly and improves sleep quality, cognition, and mood. And the list goes on and on, so we believed there are more than enough reasons to drink a lot of water every single day!

Experts recommend drinking 11 cups of water per day for the average woman and 16 cups for the average man. Not all cups have to come from plain water, you can always get your daily dose of water from vegetables, coffee, and tea, for example.

We recommend having a bottle of water always near you through the day, so you will remember to drink water :)

» Meditation

Practicing meditation is getting more and more common on social media every day and we are really happy about it!

Meditating in the morning or the evening can help you to reduce stress and anxiety, cleaning your thoughts and your mind before starting your day or to end it well.

Start with an easy target, like 5 minutes of meditation in your morning, and then over time find the way you prefer to do it. Some people go to 30 minutes of meditation and other people prefer to do it at night. It's your choice!

» Journal

When it comes to journaling, we recommend starting your day by writing 5 things that you are grateful for in your life. This will not only count as a task accomplished, but it will also count as a good mood booster to start the day. This will also help to keep in mind good things and appreciate more of what you have in life.

» Exercise

You don’t need to necessarily workout every single day, but try to move your body on your daily routine.

You can choose a sweaty workout, a relaxing yoga class, or just a stretching exercise before breakfast. But always make sure to move your body daily, especially if you work in the same position for most of your day.

We recommend adding some morning stretches to your morning routine and always remember to choose exercises that you feel comfortable doing.

» Clean your space

Whether you are doing it in the morning or if you prefer to do it before going to bed, cleaning your space for 10 or 15 minutes every day can easily make you organize your space and clear your mind. You don’t need a deep cleaning every day, but try to take 10 minutes to clear at least your workstation so you can get organized. We promise you that this habit will increase your productivity!

» Read every day

By getting the habit of reading every day, you can reduce stress, build vocabulary, increase empathy, improve your sleep quality (especially if you read before bed), and strengthen your brain.

You can start with 5 minutes every day before bed and work from there. If you never had any interest in reading, you should start with something simple and easy before taking a big step. Give yourself time to start this new habit and don’t push yourself over the limits because that could lead to hate reading.

» Make your bed

After a night of sleep, we definitely recommend letting your bed “breath” by letting it unmade for 30 minutes or so, to air your bed. You can definitely make use of that time by having your breakfast or doing your skincare. After that, making small tasks like making your bed, you are more likely to accomplish more things during the rest of the day.

» Skincare

If you think that self-care is not productive, let me tell you one thing. It is proved that by taking good care of yourself, you are more likely to do more productive work. Now, we are not saying that you need to get obsessed with skincare, but try to make an effort to start taking care of your skin.

There are many videos and blog posts out there talking about skincare, we definitely recommend subscribing to Hyram’s YouTube Channel and also to Susan Yara’s YouTube Channel: Mixed Makeup!

We will definitely bring blog posts talking about skincare but for now, our first advice is to use sunscreen every day. By using sunscreen you can prevent premature aging, lower skin cancer risks, shield your skin from harmful UV rays and prevent sunburns.

» Go for a walk outside

Take some deep breaths outside and get some sunlight by going for a walk every day. This will help you to clear your headspace and also it will make you move your body.

This is definitely a habit that we felt the changes in since day one. Especially if you do it in the morning, this habit can help you to start your day with a good mood booster and promote a productive day!

We recommend making the walk even better by bringing a good playlist with you. Get some fresh and good vibes in your daily walk, and rock your day!

» Get off your screens at least 1 hour before bed

Screen light before bed can make your brain associate that moment to daytime, instead of starting the nighttime rest period.

Turn off your screens at least 1 hour before bedtime, by doing your skincare and reading, or maybe you prefer to enjoy some quality time with someone. Definitely get creative, because this is a must for a good night of sleep.

And that is the end of the 10 habits that you need to incorporate into your daily routine! We will be back with more exciting posts next Wednesday. Stay safe and let us know in the comments if you are going to add any of these habits to your daily routine :)
