BECOMING "THAT GIRL"

» It is no secret that from time to time a “type of girl” goes viral on social media and all of a sudden a new girl era begins. You can easily recognize some of them, like VSCO girl or Tumblr girl, and honestly, the list goes on and on.
TikTok is no exception for this type of content, and it seems like a new girl era is just getting started. If you haven’t heard about it yet, well we present you “that girl”.
Like we mentioned earlier, “that girl” started on TikTok, but its presence can already be felt on other social media like YouTube or Pinterest (for inspirational photos Pinterest is the best place) or even Instagram.
» But what is “that girl”? A “that girl” has her life together. She wakes up early and goes for a workout (wearing aesthetic workout clothes, of course). Then have an aesthetically pleasing breakfast and a good productive routine. Ice coffee is her go-to every morning and she is an incorporation of an aesthetic Pinterest board.
» After this little introduction, you can easily find the word we refer to the most: aesthetic. It seems like every “girl-type” has a well-defined aesthetic, and “that girl” has a very cute and pleasing vibe all over her.
Now here is my point of view: Yes, if you like that aesthetic and if you want it, then go for it. However, don’t overfocus too much on it. Work with what you have and focus on what you actually like.
It is perfectly fine to not follow every single rule from a “type of girl” and, in my opinion, it is even better to actually be a mix of many “types of girls”. Cause let’s be honest, I don´t wake up every day feeling like I want to work out, do you wake up feeling like every day? Sometimes I just want to sleep more or get a soft self-care morning, and that’s fineee!
Be your own person and create your own aesthetic. Use these “types of girl” as inspiration, instead of letting them overshadow you.
» Now back to the “that girl”.
This girl wakes up early and makes her bed in the morning. I personally love that, because when I wake up early, I usually tend to accomplish more during the day than I would have if I woke up later.
And when it comes to making the bed, I think this is the perfect morning accomplishment to start your day with small wins.
» The next step is warm lemon water. After a little research, we have found that this habit has a lot of benefits for yourself such as boosting your immune system, balancing your body’s pH, helping with weight loss, and clearing your skin. Lemon is also good for your brain and aids digestion.
So far it really seems like a good and healthy habit. I have never tried, but I will definitely try that and then tell you how it went.
» Exercising is the next step on the to-do list. Clearly choosing a workout aesthetically pleasing clothes can sound weird for some people, but I think that will not only make you look CUTE while you are sweating (lol) but also give you a little motivation and boost to actually go for it. So why not?
For the morning exercise you can go for yoga, Pilates, maybe go to the gym or walk in the nearest park. In my opinion, this like a very healthy and balanced routine and trust me when I tell you that when I work out in the morning, I am definitely more productive during the day.
Also, listen to your body (and your doctor) and try to find the workout routine that works best for you. Maybe it is not every day, maybe it is in the afternoons, as long as you are exercising it sounds like a good plan.
» For breakfast we have avocado toast, maybe some scrambled eggs too, but one thing that is never missing is the iced coffee or matcha latte. Some people go for toasts with peanut butter, others go for acai bowls recipes and there are also some people preferring protein or banana pancakes. As long as you are nurturing your body properly and healthy, and you like what you are eating, then go for it :)
» Journaling, meditating, and practicing gratitude are also on the to-do list for a “that girl” and honestly that sounds like such a great addition to the morning routine. Being grateful for what you have and manifesting what you want is essential in my opinion. It helps you find your way and enjoy the process at the same time while processing everything that can happen in the middle. Great for relaxing and clearing your mind, if you haven’t tried it, then you should absolutely do it.
» The next step is productivity. “That girls” are very productive and get a lot of things done during the day. For this routine, I would say: Yes, try your best every day and work for your goals. But at the same type also keep a balance in mind. Don’t overwork every day and don’t forget to have fun in the middle. Life is full of working times and relaxing times, you just have to find a balance.
» Skincare and self-care are very important for these girls. Having a nice face mask, a bubble bath, and cute nails are some of the things that these girls go for. In the night routines, a lovely candle, maybe a book or a movie, and some skincare are their go-to.
» At last, for the clothes, “that girls” go for lounge and comfortable clothes. A lot of sweats and baggy clothes are involved in this, which I have to say sounds amazing. However, I also love to dress up and change into something different that sweats for some time ;), so just go for what you like and for what you want that day.
» That is it for the “that girl” blog post and remember that a lot of girls are adding these habits to their routines to get their lives together, and you can blame them?
